305 with lt1 stock cam
i have recently a stock lt1 cam from a buddy cause ive heard a few things about them really waking up a 305. and before a take the time to pull my 85 305 tpi apart i was wondering if anyone out there had done this and how much does it help?
Re: 305 with lt1 stock cam
more hassle than it's worht i have heard. just get yourself a cam and 1.6 RR from summit and you can choose what you want out of it. LT1 cams barely make a difference from the input i have gotten from other 3rd gen owners. Just fyi...

Your 85 engine is a flat-tappet camshaft, and the LT1 is a roller-tappet camshaft. It wont work.
