OK, so I was looking at getting a TV cable for my TPI swap. I have a bastard child setup with a throttle linkage bracket from an unknown TPI, a plenum from an 88 up and a throttle body from an 87 and earlier. The issue I have is that my TV cable is out of adjustment range, so I currently have a hose clamp on it to ensure I hit full line pressure at WOT. Is there a difference between the TPI cables, is there something I am doing wrong or do I have the wrong year cable? The parts store doesn't even stock the later cable or list a sub for it, just the earlier one. I am thinking about making an extension of some sort and/or slotting the mounting bracket so that it works or cutting and welding the bracket up.
