Best options for aftermarket runners + baseplate?

Hey all,

So although it's a bit of a way off til I get to the fun stuff, I'm slowly acquiring parts for my 350 TPI/Formula conversion for my car. I'm sticking w/a streetable, somewhat mild SBC set-up, that needs to be smog legal. I've been checking out some of the aftermarket TPI runners and baseplates out there. Is the Edelbrock set-up any good? What about SLP? or are there other good options for me worth seeking out? Any help appreciated!

I did an investigation of Aftermarket runner sizes not too long ago. Here are the sizes of all aftermarket runner sizes. So of course the baseplates will be about the same size too.

Stock Runners = 38-39 mm
Arizona Speed and Marine = 42 mm
Edelbrock = 40.64 - 43.18 mm
Accel = 41.91
SLP = 40.64

I really like the AZ S&M runners, but for $500 plus another $500 for a ported/aftermarket base, I'm thinking the FIRST is a better deal.

Well if you look at the sizes, Edelbrock is the largest size in diameter, plus, it is the cheapest as well.
