tpi codl start problem???

this is the problem I got.... I got a 86 IROC 305 tpi.. ran good 5 years ago. sold it to a buddy who drive it for a while ran great. he parked it in my grage to swap the front nose to a 91 style. it sat and sat and sat. I bougth it back. fuel line sprung a leak right near then Brake booster. soI fixed that with a new cable. Started itup. runs rough as hell, doe snot smoke. but ou got to hold the gas at 3000 and you can hear the cyl clearing out one after another over a course of abotu 5 minutes. then runs good.... come back out next day same thing... floods right up asoon as it starts.. whats the problem? cold start injector? OZ sensor? he added a amp to the car. so some of the wireing is hacked up. but not to the point where it would run bad I think. bany ideas

I also got a 87 350 tpi car... all orig...great shape starts up runs good. once its hot. you have to give it a little gas while cranking it over or else it won;'t start any ideas there

Re: tpi codl start problem???

Ohm out the injectors on both cars.
IIRC the injectors should be ~16 and the CSI should be ~4.

Verify the numbers. It's been a while since i've had to do that.
