1990 Corvette 5.7 TPI Chasing a DTC32
1990 Corvette 5.7 TPI Chasing a DTC32
I wonder if anyone can help with where on a 1990 Corvette with the 5.7 TPI engine the EGR Temp Diagnostic Switch is located? I'm chasing the infamous Code 32. I've changed the EGR Solenoid but still get the code after driving for a while. I drove with a vacuum gauge T'd in just before the EGR valve and did not see any change in vacuum while driving at 65 MPH. Vacuum held at 10" when the code came in. I have a new EGR valve that I can change out but I'm not so sure it's bad. Testing it appears to be successful. I've seen the test documents with the flow charts and diagrams which show the switch. I would sure like to test it if I could find it. Is this an item that they eliminated on the 1990 models?
I would greatly appreciate any help

I don't think a 90' corvette would have it. if you do it will be on the side of your EGR valve just a one wire connector.

Yes the EGR temp sensor was not used on the 90-92 speed density TPI setups.
For fixes, check the solenoid, the vacuum lines, and the EGR valve itself.
