first off hi everyone i jus signed up!

ok i know there is threads somewhere around here about this, new and dont know my way around the forms yet so i posting this lol.

i have a 88 iroc-z 305 tpi and i replaced it with a $10k 383 stroker carb'd motor, something went wrong with the motor, had 25xx miles on new before it throw 1 rod and so on, so now i got a complete 350 tpi engine out of a 89 firebird, i do still have the old 305 computer and harness but i aslo got the 350, problem is.. the computer to the 350 is missing the end plug-ins (black part the wires plug into). so i went to pull the PROM chip out the 350 to put in the 305 computer and the 350 computer has 2 chips in it. i lost there, can i pull those out and put in to the 305 computer? also i understand i need to replace the ESC and Knock sensor. as of right now i got the 350 in and starting to plug in the wire harness. any help be great!! thx all and ill let u know as i go with the progress.

 

In an ECM from an 89 there should only be one chip. You can try to attach a picture of the new computer and its two chips, this would help. Otherwise, yea, just put the chip for the 350 in the old computer. The computers were the same, wiring is the same, you should be ok. Just try to put in the computer chip that most resembles the old chip.

ok well didnt get to the ecm stuff cuz i wanted to c if the enigne will start and stuff worked.. no headlights, no fuel pressure. if does crank over tho. the old motor when it was card'd had a toggle switch for the fuel, so i need tpi wiring shematics for 88 iroc-z 305 n 350 and a 89 350tpi firebird, anyone kknow where i can get one at? thx
