I had a modded TPI with EGR, then a StealthRam without EGR, then the StealthRam with EGR. I noticed no (EGR related) difference in drivability or performance in either configuration. I would keep the EGR valve / system intact and operational.

Exhaust gas is inert that is it provides no fuel, or oxygen for combustion, but displaces a small volume otherwise available for air/fuel, less fuel consumption, but only during part throttle (cruising.) I see no reason for disabling it as it isn't active in WOT. When you race your car you're either idling, or in WOT so the EGR is a moot point in which case it's up to you whether to block it or not.

thanks guys for the reply! i was just wandering because my idle is funky and chances are at 160K miles my egr valve needs cleaning/replacing. thanks again!
