IAC steps. How many?

So with a 87 5.7 TPI, what should I be getting for an IAC reading when the engine is hot? I set my throttle blades by closing the IAC valve, & adjusting the idle to 450-475 rpms. Now, with the IAC plugged in & the engine warm I am seeing about 30 steps at idle. Isn't this a little high?
Anybody know what it should be?

Thanks!

Re: IAC steps. How many?

Take that back, when it's hot the IAC is reading at 15 steps in park.
