Opinion on this TPI set up
Hi All,
This is my first post here so please go easy on me!
I live in Australia and I bought a 1970 Camaro at the start of the year. It came with a 350 Vortec crate motor, an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold, 650 AVS Thunder carb, Performer cam (234/244,.488/.510), and headers. It has standard cast iron Vortec heads, a 4 speed Saginaw gearbox and 10 bolt 3.36 posi rear end.
It's a regular driver so I'm interested in fitting EFI to it to make it a little easier to live with. TPI set ups don't come up too often down under (even more so for vortec heads), but I stumbled across one recently with the following specs:
- MAP system
- SDPC VORTEC large port intake manifold
- BRAND NEW wiring harness
- Genuine GM 7730 Computer and Chip
- 22 lb injectors
- HEI computer controled distributor.
- All sensors (CTS , MAT, TPS , IACV , MAP, NEW Oxygen sensor and nut to weld in exhaust, NEW Knock sensor)
- 58 MM Throttle body
- Ported Plenum
- ACCEL Air Filter
- Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Bolts for Runners, Plenum, Throttle Body, Fuel Rail etc

My questions are:
1. Is there anything obviously missing apart from the fuel pump and return lines?
2. Is the 58 mm throttle body likely to be an issue?
3. Can anyone give me an idea of what the power characteristics of this kit on my bottom end with my current cam might be? I don't plan on racing the car, and would prefer torque over high rpm power.
4. If my cam isn't suitable, then what would you recommend?
I have read the forbidden questions sticky so I don't think I've breached that! Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Re: Opinion on this TPI set up
How much you paying?
Should work fine but your cam duration is longer that what most would run on a TPI.
Cam is more top end where TPI maxes out at 5K ( but with awesome bottom end torque )
