TPI INTAKE GASKET

Hi, im wondering the easiest way to change the intake gaskets on my 92 formula l98?

What do i need to take apart and not need to take apart ect... Do i really have to take all the runners off ect or will it all unbolt and stay in place with the intake ect

Yes you have to remove a lot of things.. its not hard but does take some time.
The best way to learn is to do it.
Buy a factory service manual and learn to use it correctly!

Re: TPI INTAKE GASKET

I've done this more times than I care to admit, and I'm going of memory here. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!!! I would remove the alternator, but not needed. Plenum, Runners and distributer need to come out. You can leave the fuel rail on the intake and just unbolt the rail from front of the block (if the bolt is still there) as well as the fuel supply/return connections by the intake. Be carefull of the small o-rings on the fuel lines. This will allow access to the Torx bolts that hold on the manifold. There is no magical easy way to do this, just get in there and do it. A word of caution, if you haven't done this before... Read up in this forum on removing and re-installing a distributer. Tons of info and you may need it. And PLEASE DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!!
