Pintle cap question.

Does a TPI motor come with these?

Napa online shows them without...just wanted to know what they are for and if the TPI engines used them.

Re: Pintle cap question.

Bump.

Anyone?

I'm talking about the plastic tips that pop on the end of the injectors:

Re: Pintle cap question.

If you are going to replace your injectors check out the bosch 3 at southbay fuel injectors.

Re: Pintle cap question.

Thanks tunedperformanc.
Mr. Froman, those plastic caps are called pintle caps. They snap onto the bottoms of most of the bosch gen ll fuel injectors. They are used to hold the bottom oring in place. Again, these pintle caps are on the older metal body injectors, and yes,
tunedperformanc is correct they are not used on the multec injectors.

Re: Pintle cap question.

Alright, another question.

Does it matter what pintle cap goes on the injector? Will the "universal" pintle caps work?

you sent me a link to an injector on our website. Those injectors are bosch gen ll's.
The pintle caps that we use for those injectors are universal
