Getting new injectors. Questions

Should i get Bosch III 19# injectors or 22# injectors. Engine is .030" 305 speed density TPI. I see some say they're running 22's and others the stock 19's. My 19's are still working but my idle is a little rough and the injectors are original. Is there any benefit to 22# injectors? thanks

I,ve always heard that the speed density system does not take as kindly to modifications such as larger injectors and larger cylinder bores without a chip burned specifically for that application(that may be the cause of your rough idle), as opposed to the MAF system.IMO, your engine may burn too rich with 22lb injectors. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator would probably be a good investment as well. Good Luck

Re: Getting new injectors. Questions

I rebuilt my whole engine minus injectors and regulator. I waited on those till I got the v8 swap finished. The PO of this engine replaced a couple injectors here and a couple there. That for sure means that they're no longer flow matched so that I believe is probably my biggest problem. The rough idle is subtle. Its a puff here puff there. They're just old. I'll stick with the 19# bosch III's
