L-98 ignition rotor

How everyone, I'm replacing the cap and rotor but have come to a sticking point. I can't get the old rotor off. Is it just a press fit? Is there a locking screw that I don't see? Please help.

Re: L-98 ignition rotor

it just pushes on.
rust and corrosion causes it to stick. if you can't pull it off, just twist it off. put a shop towel around it so the exposed contact won't cut you if you hand slips while trying to twist it off. the rotor has a small plastic tab up inside that will break off and stay in the slot on the top of the shaft. so make sure you remove the broken tab before you put the new rotor on.
make sure the new rotor is seated all the way, a little WD-40 on the shaft helps with installing it.
