just got my new intake - woohoo

UPS just showed up with my new intake! $315 shipped for an Accel base, Accel runners and a ported SD plenum, along with a spare TB and FPR. Now I can build an adjustable FPR from this cover and fix my (suspected) vacuum leaks at the same time - as well as pick up some powah.

I'm not so thrilled with the polishing - just not my style. I think I may buy 50 pounds of abrasive media for the blaster and shoot everything to give it a stock look.

Did you get that off Ebay? I saw a VERY similar set up on Ebay recently and I meant to snipe it out from under (someone) but I totally forgot!!! ...if it WAS you, glad it made it into the hands of one of us!!!!!! Good find!!!!

....as for the polish, I think your media blasting sounds good. Also consider silver metallic powdercoat. My opinion is that nothing looks better than brand new "cast", but the texture makes it so hard to keep clean. I have entire TPI done in silver metallic powder, and it looks darn good, and pretty similar to stock. Cleans up with a paper towel and water!

That setup on E-bay sold for over $500. I found this on Craigslist in another state. searchtempest.com is a great tool

There is a place near me that does ceramic coating - I may take it to them for a quote.
