Heated o2 bad?

I am not sure if the heater is bad in my new o2 sensor or not. When I leave the key on and come back in 5-10 minutes, the sensor is only a little warm. Shouldn't it be very hot by then?

Re: Heated o2 bad?

No, it also needs the exhaust heat to reach full temperature. It only adds a few degrees to make up for loss from headers or distance from heads.
