I am thinking about purchasing a set of spark plugs from a 94 5.7 camaro and putting them in my 90 gta.
My question is are they compatible with my generation of f-body?

 

why wouldnt you just get the correct plugs? a 94 5.7 lt-1 with factory aluminum angle plug heads?,.....hmmmm. i doubt it.

 

Plugs are so cheap no idea why you would want to buy ones for a different engine


Get the brand and part # and cross reference it against the plugs speced for your car to see if the same

My question is for the fuel injectors and not the spark plugs.

yea, the title of your thread struck my odd. lol. no biggie. id follow the advice above,...cross reference your part numbers.

 

Injectors swap fine.

Problem is 94 LT1 injectors are 24lb ;
'90 L98 injectors are 22lb

 

Too big a jump to swap to 24lbs?

 

Are your injectors bad? You won't gain any horsepower by just swapping to 24LB injectors, infact you will probably lose horsepower because it will be over fueling the motor a little bit unless you get a tune to compensate.

Possibly. Sometimes after the car get warmed up it wants to stall out.
Replaced cap, rotor, plugs wires, coil and icm about a month ago.
Fuel pump was replaced 2 months ago.
These are accel injectors my supervisor had left over in a fuel rail from an old engine.
Forget what they are: 21, 22 lbs?
This was done 3 years ago when I got the car.

 

So pretty much everything on the ignition system was replaced except the
dizzy itself and the pick-up coil.
Now my people and I have theorized that the icm is bad (i.e. it overheats
and cuts the car off, then it cools down just enough and lets the car run
again).
Could the pick-up coil contribute to this condition before I go throwing parts
at the car it doesn't need?
I plan on getting a gm (delco) icm soon and coat the base with a GOOD
amount of dielectric grease just to be on the safe side.

Any help/suggestions on diagnosis would be appreciated.

thats how my car acted. would start fine then run for a few miles then slowly start dying out. ohm them out hot. thats when they fail. hell let it run in your driveway so you arent stranded. under 14/ ohms can them
