Get a Super Ram or use what I have?
This is for my 91 Vette and also keep in mind that I have to deal with CA smog.
I have a complete Accel intake setup that I just bought (real Accel base manifold, runners and a ported plenum) for a great deal. I was thinking that I might just go ahead and sell the runners and plenum and buy a Super Ram instead. The car is an automatic, daily driver (my only car) and will probably never get a cam change although I do want to do a set of 1.6 rockers. In short, the engine will never be a fire-breather as far as I can tell, but I do like the improved upper end of the Super Ram.
That said, at a later date there is a slim possibility that I would put a MILD 383 in it in a year or two. MILD as in lower compression with a cam that you can't hear to pass smog and make TQ more than HP and just run well.
So, should I keep the big tube/LTR setup that I have and just be done with it or should I go with the Super Ram?

It all depends what you want... I have the Superram (cali here as well) and I like it. I even have a spare setup that I am going to fix some threads on and polish.
But for it sounds like you want to do with the car, I wouldn't spend the money on a superram. Especially if you aren't going to upgrade the cam...
What are some goals 1/4 wise and such? We need more info other than the car is a DD.

I don't really care how quick it is in the 1/4 etc. I just drive it to enjoy it. Don't get me wrong, I like to get on it, but it's purpose in life in enjoyable daily transpo. It's not a race car and if it runs 13.9's or 12.9's doesn't really matter.

I would get the Super Ram just in case you deside to get a 383 in the future with a 219LPE cam. It will still pass smog. Look at my sig below and look where I live. My car passes Ca smog too!

I'm a little confused by your sig. Says SR runners and BM - are you using the SR plenum too or what?
For me, I think the reality of getting a 383 is pretty low - less than 10%. More likely I'll sell the car before that would happen. I don't seem to keep cars for very long any more.

The SR will let you max out the stock engine capabilities.

Yesterday I bead blasted the intake, runners, and plenum so now it all looks good. I think i'm going to go with the LTR setup for now and then if I'm not satisfied after I've done all the bolt-ons I want to do, I'll swap to the SR plenum and runners.
