Opinion on Cam vs Rocker upgrade

There's not a lot of info or people running the cam I have so need your guys opinion on my budget build so just want a opinion on my setup and see if I'm heading in right direction ?
My setup currently 350 tpi iroc z specs on cam are as follows
Comp 8-501-8 duration .050" lift :212int/218exh. *Valve lift with 1.5 ratio is .488int/0.495exh lift rpm range 1200-5200rpm
I have full exhuast and headers airfoil afpr etc.....

I'm in process of porting/polish lt1 heads and match the intake if needed nothing to crazy just cleaning it up .

And I was going to upgrade springs to 26915-16 from comp and upgrade to 1.6 roller tips which should bring lift to .520/.528 ....

Or should I get a hot cam Or A comp Xr270Hr or Xr264Hr and reuse the 1.5 rockers I have and still upgrade springs ?

I'm going to be running a custom tune also . I'm only trying to get over 300rwhp for right now.. So that's my goal .

Thank You!

I don't think the LT1 heads will work on your 350. They're reverse flow cooling, right? ...and you'll want to upgrade the intake, even for the cam you have now, let alone something bigger. ...what heads and intake you plan on running will help determine what the best cam will be.

ok,assuming u use stock 350 heads ,then next question would be what intake r u planning on using? tpi? ,then i would go with the 212/218 cam. That would be best if u plan on keeping the "low end torque " theme.

tpi wont fall at 4500 rpm with a better intake and cam that works in the same range. i dont think lt1 heads work on your 350.

That's true .. I'm aware of the other options like hsr miniram superram

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/fabr...n-project.html

Not a lot of people are running this because of the hassle of getting it to work Most are just running the lt1 intake conversion Due to its similaritys to the miniram
