Is the Holley AFPR still prone to leaking?

My 91's stock regulator is leaking out the vacuum line so I'm in the market for an AFPR. I've tried searching the forums. Seems like some people love the Holleys and some hate them. Most of the posts were from several years ago. Do they still have a tendency to tear diaphragms all the time?

If the Holleys are still prone to leaking, what's a good alternative?

if your getting fuel out the vacuum port you need a new diaphragm. Not sure what modifications you have done to your engine to need higher fuel pressure but it can over works your injectors. If you are running your stock multitech's time to upgrade to the bosch 3's from southbayfuel injectors. The bbks I have seen the the flanged out vacuum nipple leak and actually come out of the regulator top.

Re: Is the Holley AFPR still prone to leaking?

I have a built 383 that is going in at some point in the near future, so I figured might as well spring for the AFPR now. Or would I be better off just replacing the diaphragm in the stock regulator and doing a remote mount AFPR when the motor goes in...

Ok next question :

Best place to get a new diaphragm? Autozone sells one for like 70 bucks. I don't want to be replacing this thing in a month though. (I've had some bad luck with Autozone parts). I would rather spend the money and get the highest quality part I can.

Tpis, was having a sale a month ago for $50 for the diaphragm and standard motor parts can be found on amazon for I believe $60.
