please excuse my absence but....

So the reason I haven't been posting isn't because I fixed all my problems with my 89' firebird . It's because I broke the pinion gear and while trying to replace it I broke the bolt that holds in the spider gears so I traded the car for a snowmobile last October. And now I want another one....... Bad....... My questions that I have are will a 5.0 5- speed handle the power of a supercharger? A supercharger and a turbo charger to make it twin charged? What are good kits for these? And anyone know where I can pick up a good formula or z28?

In case you are wondering why I want it super or twin charged is because someone I work with has a 2001 BMW m3 and my goal is to beat him.

Your T5 barely handles the 305 in stock form.

Re: please excuse my absence but....

Honestly the 700r4 isn't really the greatest transmission either in factory form. Definitely superior to the t-5 in terms of strength though. Of course the rear ends aren't very tough either. Although back to the main question why even go forced induction? I mean I took a look at m3 1/4 mile times and there like mid 13 second cars. Drop in a well done 5.7 with supporting mods like good tires gears suspension ect and you could easily match/exceed that performance level for less $ and effort. 1/4 mile calculators estimate you would need like 340 hp in a 3600 lb car to hit 13.5. Very doable with a 5.7L V8.
