Excuse my ignorance, ive never seen or used one, but what the hell are they? I saw tim burgess with one on his manual car, and wondering what they do/are for

They allow you to lock the front brakes. They are used when you heat up the slicks in a burnout box. By only locking the front brakes, you don't heat up the rear brakes which can cause brake fade.

real simple to install and cheap (100 dollars or so). i like the hurst line lock, but all are good.
