I'm not sure if I am posting this in the correct place, if I'm not then I do apologize, but I have been doing a search and have not had any luck with the results. I am trying to figure out how I can read the codes off of my 91 Z with out using a scan tool. I've read in several threads that there is a way you can manipulate the system to flash the codes to you. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

 

jumper with a paper clip the aldl pin a to b , turn the key to the accessory position and blink the codes. Fist code will be code 12 3 times then any other stored codes. To count the codes count the series of blinks code 12 is blink pause blink, blink. The aldl is under the dash driver side knee height.
