Lb9 bog off idle launch
Really noticed this when I wen to the track a few weeks ago car at the time was on nitto drs magnaflow catback And 3in cat stock manifolds and y pipe. Base timing at 8deg air foil gutted air box lcarbs poly/rod founders lower control arms and panhard rod with posi. 2.73 rear. From idle to 3500rpm or so you could feel a stron bog/hesitation I played with the launch and not going wot right away helped. Swapped in 3.42 rear and I notice it even more once I gets to 3000-3500 it pulls hard almost reminds me of the Tq management put on the newer gm vehicles. Still want to bump the timing up and play with fuel pressure some also still have some headers I'm Gona throw on over the winter but my goal is to pull off a 8.8-8.9 pass in the 1/8 with a stock internal lb9. I'm thinking if I can figure out this bog issue I may be able to pickup a tenth or two. When I went to the track with the 2.73s and da of 4200 I was able to pull off a 9.82@70 mph with 2.0 60' and now with the 3.42s it honestly doesn't launch much harder because of the bog until it gets to around. 3000-3500. Anyone have an idea of where to start ?
