who designed the tpi intake??
first of all, i did do a search....
does anyone know who designed the tpi intake?? a single person, an engr team, etc... did it start off with a sketch, prototype, by accident??
imo i think its the best looking engine ever, even til this day.... its easy to work on, everything accessible and smooth looking...
the concept of 8 tube runners and front air intake i think its amazing....

A team of GM Powertrain engineers whose design goal was good emissions, fuel economy and power out of the corporate 305 engine.

Re: who designed the tpi intake??
There's no question that the TPI spent as much time in the styling department as it did in the engineering department. If it wasn't for the Corvette, there's no way GM would have spent the $ to design an intake for asthetics on a Camaro. I agree that the TPI is the most beautiful intake in automotive history, and I would love to see some early developement drawings of it.
