Shorty Plugs
Shorty Plugs
Does anyone make a shorty spark plug besides Accel? I have header/plug issues with my Patriot heads. I shopped around a bit, the Accel 0416's are only 1/8" shorter than my Autolites - - not enough to help. Any other suggestions?
Otherwise I need to dimple a couple of tubes BIG time, not a big deal since they're older stainless SLP's that required a lot of hole-grinding to fit and the port match isn't the best. They're 1 3/4" versions so will do for now. However, they're probably still saleable as-is; the existing exhaust is set up for them and I didnt want to spend $1000+ on exhaust right away, lots of other things to start with. Longterm plans are longtubes and duals, or else Player's style sidepipes.
Any other short washer-style plugs out there, or do I need to buy a bigger hammer instead?

Re: Shorty Plugs
I used E3 48's on my edelbrock heads with edelbrock headers. Bout a 16th of an inch longer than accell shorty plugs. I ended up using a spark plug boot sock that i got from oreilly's on my #5 to make extra sure it dosent burn.
