Car: 1987 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 355 TPI
Transmission: 700R-4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt limited slip with 3.42
need help with some wiring in the engine bay....
I just changed the engine wiring harness out in a 1987 GTA with a 350 TPI and in the process of plugging everything back in and some how the pig tail for the IAT sensor got seperated and now i'm trying to figure out what color wires it goes into i have 3 similiar connectors that it can plug into... help which one ??? I wanna get my GTA back on the road.

got that one figured out .... now the other one i'm trying to figure out is a similiar connector with a grey wire and and a blackwith a thin pink stripe wire.

Okay i have it all figured out except which plug goes into the sensor right above the oil filter...... last connection i need to get my beast going ....

early 90s had a 3 or 4 wire since the oil pressure switch and sender were combined; I don't think that was in an 87 though. An 87 gauge sender might be bell shaped with a single spade connector going to the driver's side wiring (ECM doesn't receive oil pressure signal) or another item tapped into the oil passages is a switch which has the 12pt. exterior rib, two spade prongs. You're almost there!

Thanks for all the help guys ...... i have one single wire connection i cant figure out for the life of me...... think it might be leftover from some of the stuff i removed outta the engine bay
