92 RS TPI NO SPARK - NO START - HELP!
92 RS TPI NO SPARK - NO START - HELP!
I have a 92 RS Police Package TPI 350 and I can't get it to start, or even get spark, Please help.
Things I have already done:
New Coil
New ICM
New ECM
New Prom
New Plug Wires
Engine ground is Good
Cap and Rotor looks fine to me
Clipped the wires to the key and added the correct resistor on car side not steering column side, My security light is on now however.
I believe this covers everything I have tried, If you have any suggestions or answers please help, Or questions. I really wanna get this car running asap. Thanks!

If the security light is on that means the vats thinks it's been bypassed some how
make sure your resistor is right. the car will not start if the light is on, you need to sort that out first.
also check the fuse by on the radiator support by the battery, if that fuse is blown your ecm and fuel pump will not get any power

Re: 92 RS TPI NO SPARK - NO START - HELP!
Ok I just checked the fuse by the Battery and its not blown. I think I have the right resistor but maybe not. My key measured 1130 which gives me a bottom of 1085 and top of 1195. So I purchased my resistors at Radio Shack who weren't much help haha, So I went with what I thought was correct, I got a 1-kohm 1-watt (no tolerance given) and a 1.5k-ohm 1/2 watt 5% tolerance. I tried both and got no where with either both did the same. Do I have the wrong ones? Thanks!
Re: 92 RS TPI NO SPARK - NO START - HELP!
So I have found that I didn't have the correct resistor so I linked a few together and now I'd say that I do sense my security light goes out 3-5 sec after turning the key on so I believe I have eliminated that as a problem. However I still have no spark even when I put a spark plug and wire directly on my coil I still have no spark. Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas????

you might go through the testing on the link, have you checked for power at the coil ? Ohmed the pickup coil ?
