305 TPI build help
So i want to step up my stock 305 TPI, i know the 350 is the better choice but i want to start on this engine first. I'm a noob at this so where do i start i already did the injector upgrade and need to know what cam, lifters, heads and w/e i need to upgrade. Its has the 6speed manual trans in the car.

Re: 305 TPI build help
Keep the cam to about 210-220 in duration and .450 lift. An LT1 cam would be a good/cheap upgrade, (I'm guessing you have a roller engine?). There are several grinds though and some are kind of weak sauce. A set of 113's, (cheap) or Trickflow 175's, (expensive) will work and will swap over to a mild 350, if/when the time comes. Vortecs are cheap too but will kill the compression on a 305. Stock replacement lifters will work fine. Headers and a good exhaust will help a lot. A little hand porting on the plenum wouldn't hurt either. And, a good tune. Full potential will not be realized w/o a properly burned chip.

Re: 305 TPI build help
Could i use this cam http://www.atlanticspeed.com/product...ory=27#details. I read some on heads and Im having a hard time finding what to go with. I was thinking about getting the whole top end ported. I'm going to order the chip from TPI-Parts.net i think. Back to the heads, are the113 from a vet and what i read is they let heat out and the Trickflow 175's are way over priced and not wroth it.

And, no. You can't use a cam for a small block Mopar in your engine.
