leaking injectors???
Can someone please inform me of the proper procedure to check fuel pressure and what the pressures should be I'm trying to determine if I have leaking injectors. When I hook up gauge to fuel rail I get 42lbs ( that's without car running just prime from pump) after 5 minutes I was down to 32 lbs . Am I doingvthis correctly what should the pressures be and how long should it hold.. thanks guys
Re: leaking injectors???
In order to rule out the pressure regulator or the fuel pump you should find a place to clamp those off after you prime it...then you can bet that injector leak is the case.

Don't feel bad, mine is way worse. My pressure drops to nothing within 2 minutes, but pretty sure it is the pump because it runs too good and the mileage is too good to be an injector, and when I clamp off the return, it still does it.

Re: leaking injectors???
YeAh I was borrowing fuel pressure tester but when it only dropped to 32 lbs after way over 5 minutes I am going to leave themmfor now atheist until I can iron out some other more important kinks lol. I did start the car and the results were as follows:
Just prime from pump 43.5 lbs
(well after five minutes dropped to but never less than 34lbs)
Car running dropped 8 lbs ended up at 35.5 steady
WOT pressure would rise quickly to about 43-47 depending on how I I revved it.
Seems to be right where it needs to be, also checked ohms on fuel injector and all are within tolerance.
