Code 33...why does it keep coming up?
okay so...this is gonna be my 3rd MAF in like a year or so..
whats causing them to go bad so damn fast??? Its really annoying and quite frustrating, not to mention costly..
i was told it may be due to my K&N Filter?

the code 33 can be caused by several issues, emi from plug wires, bad ground or maf or burn off relay connections. This code can also be set with a cam swap or aftermarket throttle body when the ecm sees a indicated airflow of greater than 45 grams per sec the code 33 will turn on the mil and go into lhm.

Re: Code 33...why does it keep coming up?
I would check the wiring to the maf. My car for years set 33 and it drove me NUTS. I thought I had fixed it one day when I bought the computer chip maf. I got to the bottom of the driveway and it set the code and ran like crap. I popped the hood with the engine running and just SLIGHTLY touched the maf wire and the car shut off. I thought that was weird so i started it and touched the wire and it shut the car off again. The pigtail looked awesome (no burns, frayed wires etc) but there must have been a break in the wires, I spliced one in and have not had a code 33 in about 2 years. Hope that helps
