no spark
Hey guys i have an 86 5.0 tpi I bought as a basket case I've got it back together but i don't have any spark. I replaced the coil, ignition module, and magnetic pickup. I have power to the distributor, motor turns over, and fuel pump is working. I' also tried with the est disconnected but nothing. When I was putting the wiring back in I was left with to larger wires that look like they go back through the firewall next to the heater box I have not messed with them yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: no spark
Do you possibly have your IAT connected to the distributor by mistake? Heard it happen before and happened to me too. The connectors are the same and they just happen to be very close in location. Double check that for sure.

Re: no spark
IAT=intake air temperature. Located at the rear of the plenum. And it's 2 wires. Looks exactly like the distributor connector

Re: no spark
Iat was hooked up right. Took dizzy out checked all the wires reread manual found white @ red wires coming off mag pickup coil yellow red. Manual says yellow has diferent polarity than white. Got different coil white white no spark. Back out with the dizzy rechecked wires duh had ignition module wires crossed. Yea we got spark and it runs yea!!!! Thanks for the ideas.
