Manual or Automatic?

does it shake in Neutral when you rev it up?

Take is on the road, get it up to speed when it's shaking really bad, and put it in neutral, does it still do it then?

It's possible that your drive shaft threw a weight.

Are you sure that youre wheels are balanced? If a tire throws a weight, the shaking can get really bad.

Is it " in the steering wheel" when you drive? Or do you feel it "In your butt", shaking up through your seat?

Re: shaking at highway speed

could be a few things driveshaft, wheel out of balance, bent rim, tire out of round, caliper sticking really need to know if its in the wheel or seat

Yeah, I was about to mention the bent wheel. I had an Eagle Talon that had the same issue, bent rim made it shake like crazy at speed, felt it through the steering wheel.

Re: shaking at highway speed

Ok so that eliminates the bent rim bad tire or out of balance. Driveshaft is still a possibility I am not going to jump up and say transmission. When your car goes into od the rpms drop low and a load is still being applied how confident are you about the condition of your plugs? 1st thing I would do is get some carb cleaner or starting fluid plus seafoam. Clean out your fuel system throughly I usually put 1/4 in tank and 3/4 through the brake booster vaccum of seafoam. pull the air cleaner assembly get into the tpi with a brush and carb cleaner. Idle control valve could be caked with carbon. Clean the system run the hell out of it to blow all of the loosened carbon out. This is what I would try first.

Re: shaking at highway speed

I had one bad injector that caused a slight misfire that was hardly noticable until it went into overdrive...shook the whole truck..New injectors solved the problem.
