Comp Cams Magnum series for TPI
Hey everyone, this subject is beat to death but I have a mild 355 motor in 89 camaro. It is currently carburated and looking to put TPI back on. Current cam is Comp cams CL12-212-2. single pattern 480 lift, 230 duration @ 110 ls. power range is 2000- 6000rpm. Motor pulls about 15inchs vacum at idleing at 650rpm. Not a choppy cam- but it idles well. My question is.. Do you think a MAF TPI can compensate?
my motor is mild- sb 355, has summit vortec heads, comps magnum cam, msd HEI, heddmans hedders. compression 9.1 . My donor TPI is from 87 iroc 305, I took complete dash, ecm wiring and everything under hood for swap. I will correct the prom and use 24lbs injectors and 350 knock sensor.
This is costly, time consuming swap but all things considered it factory bolt ons.

TPI will HATE that cam. Major mismatch.

You would need opened up aftermarket TPI parts to really make use of that cam's power range.
