Problems with fitment 12 pt intake bolts and stock runners interfere

So I purchased new bosch 3 22# fuel injectors, holley afpr, comp 1.52 roller rockers, intake gasket set, ported the heads and ntake everything gasket matched due to an intake gasket that was starting to leak and thru the bolt holes. Always end up doing way more than necessary. Anyway I ended up getting some mr gasket intake bolts. 12pt heads with chrome finish. put them in with loctite red. found out when trying to install the runners why they designed these intakes for button head torx. didnt think the size of the head of the bolt would be such an issue. not only did i have to loosen the fuel rail that was now pressurized with no retaining clips on the new 22lb bosch gen III's but the cold start injector would not seat fully too because it interfered with the bolt head. Ended up having to re use one of the old butten head torx i hate the look of. also the holley afpr dial threads seem loose like it would be a vaccuum leak so I used some blue loctite on them. I have heard of the dial interfering with the plenum but looks like mine will clear. Cant wait to get her running again.

Anymore I always start the runners on the intake before I tighten the fuel rail down. Just makes life a little easier

I never had an issue with the other intake bolts, had the rail installed while the intake was off thinkin it would make it easier. Are the intakes supposed to be removed with the runners and plenumn installed? I never thought of trying it that way but think it would be difficult putting it back together like that anyway.

just pop your injectors in, start the rail bolts, and pop them upto the top of the rail bolts, start your runners, and tighten up the rail bolts. Not so bad
