tpi distributor?
ok so i am swaping my car from carb to tpi. and was just wondering about the distributor if i could use the msd street fire that i have or not i just put a 6al box in the car as well so the coil isnt in the cap anymore. but if i do have to get a new distibutor what would be a good one and would i still be able to use my 6al box?

Re: tpi distributor?
No
You need a computer controlled dist that has provision for the 4 wires that connect to the computer
A MSD unit will work with one of those

Re: tpi distributor?
You can. Make sure the TPI harness is 88+ to utilize the remote coil. If the harness is an 86-87, you will either need a coil in cap HEI dizzy or convert the harness over to a remote coil(pretty easy).
