Replacing Head Gasket

Guys, here are a few pictures of the top deck of my block. Plan on running replacement composite Jegs head gaskets but am worried about the discolored pitting around the water jackets. Any advice on what is acceptable or not because I can’t find any good videos online.Replacing Head Gasket-dsc05663.jpg

Re: Replacing Head Gasket

The deck on my rebuilt shortblock was a little discolored here and there. If it's straight and you don't want it decked, they just clean them up and call it good for a daily/mild perf. usage. As long as it's straight, a little Scotchbrite and brake cleaner will put you right in position.
