XE268H on stock 305

Hi I am new in this forum.

The thing is that the timing chain in my 1986 iroc z jumped a teeth and since I ll replace it with a double roller I want a hotter cam, so it is too much for the stock engine?? comp says that 1.52 rockers and bigger springs is a must, so It really is a must?

the cam is the one in the next link

Imo, yes its to big. You need or should have alittle better flowing heads and a much better intake manifold setup than stock tpi to make use of that cam. It will run but will have a fair amount of lope and want to spin over 6000 rpm but tpi will not allow hp peak to happen that high in the rpm band. Need springs to match, new rockers, fulll exhaust, and torque converter 3000-3600 stall. Fun stuff

Re: XE268H on stock 305

would you this recommend this one

http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=2323&gid=297

I just want a little more than stock and not spent much in a little 305, I will swap a 350 with vortecs and stuff at some point, but since I have another two projects on the making that's all can afford now.

Can anyone recommend a better than stock cam?
