Re: Canton 244T

I believe thats the pan i ran with my 383 and hooker longtubes. With a lt1 ministarter, no issues with clearance. Fit great

Re: Canton 244T

Orr, I talked to canton amd told them my stroke and intended rpm amd they steered me towards the 246t power pan. They told me that small kickout on pass side there is a considerable hp gain with windage by catching the oil thrown off the crank at high rpm. I guess instead of hitting the wall and splashing back on crank it elimibates this. Told me a % gain has been documented esp big stroke applications. Wondering if the pan will fit. Any exp with this pan?

Re: Canton 244T

I see no difference between those two pans? Dimensions look the same and have same description from canton. Oh well they would know best, i have not run more than 3.75" crank but i turn 7k rpms and the pans built in windage tray and scraper seem to work great. I have no way of telling how much better it is vs a stock type pan however. Cutting down windage and aeration of oil is definately a good idea tho.

Re: Canton 244T

I'd think that kickout would be a good deal if your not running a windage screen bolted to your main caps.
