92 rs 305 TBI to 350 TPI swap
92 rs 305 TBI to 350 TPI swap
Swapping the TBI 305 in my brother in laws 92 RS Camaro for a 350 TPI, that i am guessing came out of an 87-89, but not exactly sure. I have the ECM and entire harness from the donor car. ECM is an aftermarket replacement with a tag for the installer to copy info from unit being replaced, but unfortunately it is blank. The Engine does have a Bosch MAF sensor. I had some questions about the C100 firewall connector, as these are pinned considerably different from the car to the replacement harness. I believe I have all of those issues resolved, thanks to some help from other members of this forum, that was greatly appreciated. I have the Harness installed and the engine installed, went to plug in the ECM, and the other connector on this end of the harness under the passenger side of the dash. It is a white connector with two rows of pins that plugs into two seperate connectors taped together. I noted similar concerns as I had with the C100 connector, some pins in the engine harness line up with open spaces in the car side connector, and many of the wires are different colors from the old harness to the replacement. I am not sure what to call this connector, and would like some help finding some pin out charts for it if at all possible. If anyone could give me any info it would be greatly apreciated. Thank you in advance, it is great to find a site where people are willing to help other people with these kinds of things and actually know what they are talking about.

The connector is the C207 connector. You'll have to track down diagrams for both the Donor vehicle and the recipient, so you can move the pins around as required. Here is a spreadsheet I did for the pins from an '86, going into a G-body. I know that they will likely have not a lot in common, but the wire colors are usually pretty standard, and may get you started. There is also info here for the ALDL connector changes, as well as a 6 pin connector on the earlier years for power ( on your model, I think these went through the C100 connector).

Thanks for the help so far, haven't had time to get back to this project much lately. I have found a few pin-out charts for the C207 connector, but the pinout schematics are not very specific. Some of them simply say "throttle body injection" or "fuel injection systems" on the '92 TBI. There are 3 wires each marked "Idle Speed Control, Fuel Control and Vehicle Data Sensors" and "Ignition, Service Engine Soon, and Tachometer" for an '87 and '89 TPI. I have not been able to figure out more specifically where these wires go to, and haven't found any wiring diagrams that include any specifics of the C207 connector. Anyone know where I can find more specific info?
