87 TPI Cold Start Switch

Hi All!!
Can anybody tell me and/or possibly display a cold start switch and where it is SUPPOSED to be on an 87 TPI?

I have a headache of a mess here and I am starting from square one. This motor is in a '42 Business Coupe and I am starting fresh because I cannot for the life of me figure out why this thing will not run. The injector is there as well as its connector/wiring however I do not see a switch anywhere. EVERYTHING (and I mean everything!) on this motor is brand new down to the ECM. It is NOT a VATS system and I did have it running when I first put it in but it is 700 miles away from me and that was 2 1/2 years ago! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Oh Yea! If anyone has a pinout of C100 (@ the ECM) for an 87 TPI that would be awesome too. I have one however its on my other computer.... at home.... in Massachusetts...... 700 miles away!!! Thanks again!

Re: 87 TPI Cold Start Switch

Cold start switch is on the front of the manifold, next to the Coolant Sensor. It has a connector on it like a fuel injector connector (IIRC). Is is fused, but does not run through the ECM.

For your schematics, try here: (BTW, C100 is the firewall connector to the fuse box)

he injector is there
The CSI only aids cold starting , it only works when the engine is cranking over and lack of it will not prevent the engine eventually starting

You can find the 87 C100 here:

http://berlinetta.info/C100.htm

You can also find the ECM/Dash C207 connector here:

http://berlinetta.info/C207.htm

As VettOzz said, "The brass Hex head unit" The Cold Start switch is circled in YELLOW in this pic. It should have a Purple wire and a Tan wire and like darbysan wrote; the connector will look like a fuel injector plug.

Power is applied thru the CRANK fuse to the C/S switch and the C/S injector. The switch will complete the voltage path to ground when cold,... activating the switch/injector only when the key is turned all the way to START.
