90 350 camaro into 91 305 Trans Am?

I have a 1991 Pontiac Trans Am with a bad 305 (Piston rings) so I think its time to go for a 350.

My question is I found a good 1990 350 from a Camaro and was curious if that would work since its a different model year and "sort of brand". Someone told me the pontiac motors were different form the chevys in the 90's....

I know there is a difference in the ESC Module between 80's and 90's thirdgens, so I'm told but is that a problem for a 91 350 to a 90 305? I guess there was a internally and externally mounted ESC module which was based on the year. Is that a problem for this swap?

Basically I just want to make sure I can do this without any major problems or anything special I have to do other than new chip?

Also my firebird is a manual, does that cause any issues if it came from an automatic?

Thanks

90 -92 are all the same .
Speed density (MAP ) using a '730 ECM ; only the memcal is different to suit the application
You need the memcal ( chip ) out of the 350 computer installed in your computer in place of the 305 one and a 350 knock sensor

Don't forget the pilot bushing. It'd be a beech if he got it all together and left that out.

Here's where you might run into problems.
The 350 might blow your tranny. Lots of info in the drivetrain stickies about that.
The 350 engine computer will not be programmed for a manual so it won't run quite right, but can be reprogrammed.
