fuel pressure issue

305 tpi s/d 5 spd
a few months back I replaced my injectors with a set from south bay. I also switched out the regulator for an adjustable. recently I have had issue at cold start up. it seemed like not enough or too much gas. no smell of gas.

I have about 30 psi when the pump primes at ignition. then it sits at 10 psi. after start and running pressure is at 38-40 psi. turn it off pressure is back at 10 psi. the regulator screw is all the way out. no ses, vac leaks.

until its warmed up, there is a hesitation in the area of 2k rpm. shift up or below it its fine .i get a popping sound inside the intake a bit.

which way opens up more pressure on the regulator? screw in or out? and any suggestions to resolve this?

Re: fuel pressure issue

Tightening the screw increases the pressure. Sounds like there is a defect in the diaphragm metal stop. a you maybe able to polish the piece so it seals on the regulator body insert.

I had tightened it down and didn't see any increase or decrease of pressure. doesn't look like theres any leaks. ill try that
