prom for 92 vert
I have a 92 25th tpi vert that is a daily driver and I just want it to idle fairly well and make decent power without being a total hot rod. A cruiser basically that still gets good gas mileage and something that someone has already done before that will tune easy and be fun. It came 305 tpi auto and I have added a 9 bolt 327 pbr posi. I have a 350 bored 40 with a steel GM 1pc crank with 6 rods and forged mahli pistons. I have a holley stealth ram and I need a cam, heads and a chip. The stealth ram flows around 280 so I am looking for heads that flow in that range. Has anyone done a 350 HSR engine that ran good and was easy to tune and still got fairly good mileage? If so let me know your combo. I bought a guys project out and ended up with some AFR 220 heads (bare) that have ended up way to big for what I want. AFR says they flow 325 to 330 and they are unported so I cant use them. Someone let me know of a combo you have tuned that idled well and was a great daily driver motor. Thanks in advance guys.

Your best path to success is to begin learning how to tune yourself.
The path you are on will cost you major frustration if "canned" tunes are used.
Your progression from 305 to 350, to cam, heads (probably nitrous later) etc constitue 5-6 "final" tunes burned.
This will take multitudes of smaller "tweaks" to get it to run smooth and optimize milage/response.
I started with an 87' TPI motor...
Then exhaust...then headers...
then cam...
2400 converter...
then heads...
Trans upgrades...
STILL NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
now I have 406, running ok (needs tuning time to get better) but the changes never stop.
With an SD system every change will need some small tweaking to make use of the changes you made.
Without the ability to change things myself I would have filled the interior with gas cans and burned the car several times by now.
IMO, If you are putting parts and time in to make the car better, don't leave how it runs up to someone else.

Re: prom for 92 vert
Yes, that is why I was wanting someone to go over there package that is very streetable and has there tune dialed in. I just want a good cruiser that idles good, has good street manners and still gets mid 20 gas mileage. I don't want to reinvent the wheel I just want a proven combo that someone else has done that works very well and is a 350 with a HSR. I still need to get heads cam etc. I have the shortblock and HSR and if someone else has one with a LT4 hot cam or ZZ4 cam and smaller heads that runs well and gets 25MPG or so then I would like to copy there build and tune. I am trying to save some of the headache from the part I have no control over which is the tune. I need to get the stuff and learn it but that takes time and I am about ready to finish this engine and start cruising. I have some AFR 220 heads that flow 325=330 un-ported but those heads are way to big so I am going to sell them and get get some smaller heads in the 285-295 CFM range.

Re: prom for 92 vert
I didnt ask anyone to do a prom for me. I simply asked what engine combo someone has done and tuned so I could get some advice on what cams and heads that seem to work well together. Also, how streetable there combo is and how good there gas mileage was. I thought I would get better info on the prom side of the board as to how much advance, injector size, etc so I could pass this info to Ed Wright who does my proms. As I stated (copy there tune) not get them to send me a chip. I would appreciate any help from someone that has tuning experience as to where I should start. If you think this info is on the tpi board rather than on the prom board then move it. My concern is information not a free chip.
