If I look for an ECU at a salvage yard - what do I need?
1989 GTA Trans Am - 5.7 - automatic

My car suddenly has the SES light on, and throwing 8 different codes. Car and ECU are well grounded.

 

As you have already been told in other posts
The memcal fitted inside is what determines the application ; Not the ECM itself

Need a ECM # 1227165
( a reman '165 ECM may have # 16198259 or 16198445 )

'165 ECM used in many different vehicles
