Timing cover with one piece oil pan gasket TPI

Anyone change a timing cover without dropping the pan or cutting the one piece gasket? Is there a easy trick or is this going to be trial and error?

Anything is possible but short answer is NO if you plan on keeping oil in when finished

I suspect a hammer , chisel and real big tube of sealant will also do the job

Yep, I ended up cutting the U off and trimming the backside of the rubber gasket. Just did it like the Old School way with the 4 piece and a dab of silicone in the corners. So far so good
