Question on HVAC Vacuum line
Long story short, been slowly working on getting my 87GTA running well as it has some gremlins.
The Heat and AC are removed (was mostly when I got it, so I pulled the unit from firewall) question is.. car running off big time and I just finished a pretty good tune up only to have a car hard to start, when it does start needing to give gas to continue to run as if it wasn't getting fuel.
I have chased the fuel system like crazy, finding none... so today I tried to see if there was any leaks at the intake, I got car to rev up...
This is when I found that the HVAC inlet on upper TPI was sucking in air!!!!
Feeling stupid yet a little confused, I blocked it off and the car....smoothed out big time, ran on its own and wasn't as rich.
I will get a plug kit tomorrow, but I'm really wondering If this issue could of been so simple and would the HVAC vacuum line being exposed bring in air and lean car out....?

Re: Question on HVAC Vacuum line
I switched to a vantage air Gen IV magnum... and forgot the vac line. Been there, crap idle no power, capped it and poof perfection. No worries it's just the vac leak.
