Ok ive posted in the past with no luck. 85 z28 tpi definitely has spark, new cap, new rotor,new plugs, new wires, new coil, and pickup coil tests fine. Have 40psi for fuel pressure even when cranking. The car will crank but not start. Forst off replaced ecm but was starting prior and after. New ecm gave me code 34 which was maf. Found the ceramic wire broken inside. Have maf off the car now and misplaced it doh! But am told by many it should still start. I just cant see it doing so without it. Even spraying starting ffuid it doesn't even try to start. And yes spark good, gas good, compression good. What could it be?

 

If if won't kick with fluid ; spark ( or timing ) is still a suspect

Are the plugs wet or dry when it won't fire ?

IAC and TPS as well. Be sure there set properly. I miss adjusted mine and I could crank her over all day long to no avail. Reset IAC and TPS... instant startup. I've had my timing set anywhere from 6-12 degrees, it didn't like being over advanced but it always started. Make sure your disconnecting the wire when setting timing. And mine is an 85, it will start with the MAF off.

 

Are your injectors pulsing ? check them with a noid light.
