is this normal from this motor?

hi guys. this may be a stupid question, but please bear with me. i just got my 350 swap on the road, below is the list of stuff in the motor. the other night i gave the motor a good amount of gas for the first time and brought the RPMs to about 4k, and i got a shocking surprise. it started blowing smoke all behind me and i thought "wow, smoking the tires already? this motor is a monster!" but as i slowed down, i noticed the smoke was oil burning. After pulling over, i checked, and it almost appeared as though the dipstick wasnt clicked all the way down, and due to pressure the oil sprayed up the dipstick tube and over the headers. I clicked it down, revved it good at the TB while in park and didnt notice anything.

fast forward to today. I figured i'd give it gas again, after spending all this money on a motor, i'm a little weary of slamming the gas first to diagnose anything. this is how i can best describe how it feels...when i hit around 4k, it almost feels like there is no more resistance from tires spinning, almost like the trans is slipping bigtime and its just spinning the motor and no tires. but once i drop the rpms down, it feels normal. wondering if anyone else has any thoughts....

Heres the motor:
350 short block with GM angled valve pistons
Summit Racing aluminum heads
Accel intake manifold
Hooker shorty headers
SLP runners
Crane 2032 cam
a few little mods that arent worth mentioning

any thoughts appreciated

Edit: i just thought of something while reading over this which may be the culprit. when i pulled the motor, i know some trans fluid came out of the cooler lines, an unknown amount. could it be that maybe?

Do you have the VC vent on the pass side to the TB, as well as a functional PCV valve?

If I understood your post, you changed the engine, spilled some tranny oil and didn't check it or top it off ? If that's the case, damb good place to start.

Not sure what a vc vent is. But the pcv valve is good. And yes, I need to top off the trans, next time I take it out will be Saturday so I'll top it off and try that

VC...Valve Cover.

I was only addressing the dipstick popping out and oil hitting the exhaust

ah, ok. yes, i do have a vent there going to the throttle body. these valve covers i got (corvette magnesium covers) are used, if there is a lot of crankcase pressure again, could there be a chance there might be clogging of some sort i didn't see somewhere?
