Hey guys,

Im nearly ready to try firing the engine but ive ran into a roadblock. I wanted to set the TPS before starting it up, something ive done a couple of times with the 5.0, last time was because i fitted a new TPS

However im checking the voltage and its sitting at 2.45 volts and moving the TPS is making it move just a little bit each way.....WTF, i tried the old TPS that came with this engine and the same result so i know its not the TPS itself.

Another problem me and my friend have noticed while working on this is with the ignition on the burnoff relay is always on, i only noticed as i was leaning on the air intake it was getting warm, so ive unplugged that for now.

Another case of **** TPI wiring etc etc? im so sick of this car at the minute, nothing is going right

 

Also, can anyone tell me which pin the blue wire goes to on the ECU straight from the TPS plug ? ive been through my wiring diagrams but havnt found it yet

 

The blue wire goes to C13 at the ECM.
Do you have 5volts between A and C on the TPS?

 

ok its all fixed now, turns out my friend who rewired my ECU plugs for me had some mixed up, turns out the black wire on the TPS isnt a standard earth wire !
