TPI IAC pigtail / parts... Disassemble ?
Was working on my TPI throttle body the other day an noticed my IAC plug clip is broken...
Checked Ebay and saw they sell complete pigtails and one as parts...
Is there a way to "dissasemble" mine, and just replace the housing, and rebuild it? I don't want to cut / solder wires, or crimp existing short wires...
I know with some plugs and stuff you can use a tool to disassemble, etc...
& I already asked the seller, he was not sure...
Here is the plug in parts...

Save yourself the hassle and get the tools posted above. They pop in and out. Like a 2 min job.

I just did this with the IAC and TPS connectors. Real simple, just make sure to keep track of which wire goes where by either doing it one at a time or taking a photo (or both). As long as the terminals are in good shape (which they should be if the weather pack connector was doing it's job) there's no crimping required. My connectors were literally falling apart as I tried to take them off; 20 years of heating and cooling makes the plastic extremely brittle.
For anyone having TPS or IAC connectors broken, go this route. It's much easier to order the weather pack housing with pin removal tool and swap the terminals over than trying to crimp/solder in a pigtail.

This was literally the first thing I did when I got my car because the IAC housing was broken. I ordered just the actual housing itself (black part) and pulled the wires out of the 4 holes and plugged them in accordingly with the new one. You have to "unclip" the old wires and plug them into the new ones. You won't have to cut anything. I didn't want to either. The IAC housing only costs me like $6 (december 2014)
